How long does bacteriostatic water last once it is used. Bacteriostatic Water for Injection, USP containing additives should be given to a pregnant woman only if clearly needed. Although both of these types of water are sterile, there is actually a huge difference between the two of them. What is the difference between bacteriostatic water vs sterile water for injection.

Animal reproduction studies have not been conducted with Bacteriostatic Water for Injection.

Nonpyrogenic - will not cause fever. Bacteriostatic Water is a preparation designed solely for parenteral use. Sterile water and Bacteriostatic Water are made in special laboratories and are often used as a diluent for injections.
